Qualifications - ONLY THOSE WHO MEET MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR EMPLOYMENT
*
Two years' minimum experience in secondary market mortgages is preferred. Less could be considered depending on the nature of the experience.
* Must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to get along well and to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, the ability to multi-task, to work independently according to bank policies and procedures and to prioritize workload;
* Must have moderate Word and Excel skills/knowledge from work experience;
*Must be capable of interacting with customers, investors, realtors, attorneys, insurance agents and other employees favorably
*Intermediate accounting skills would be helpful.

Primary Objective - To support the mortgage loan department by collecting, processing and completing loan document paperwork in strict adherence to all applicable federal and state rules and regulations and Bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities - In-house loan processing includes but is not limited to obtaining customer numbers, flood certificates, completing necessary document sheets, ordering loan estimates, appraisals and other credit documents; communicating with the lender, borrower, realtor and appraiser through the loan process; preparing closed loan packages with all necessary forms, loan proceeds checks and tickets; following checklists for scanning after closing; following up with closing attorney, insurance agent, lender and others to clear exceptions.

Secondary market loan processing includes but is not limited to communication through and with FHA Connection and the Dept. of Veteran Affairs to order case numbers, appraisals, remittance of MIP and other; USDA to upload credit packages for approval via GUS and remittance of USDA guaranty fee; proficiency in UCDP, FNMA Desktop Originator, MERS, Talx Corp, TRV Systems, IDS and other websites and/or programs for support; preparing loan submission packages to investors, completing loan closing packages for funding and preparing all tickets, entries, etc.
                     
Answer main phone lines; greet and direct customers/visitors as they enter the lobby; produce from a Word template, merge into Excel then mail past due letters.

Expectations are to perform all job duties and other responsibilities as assigned and to follow all safety rules and regulations.

 Regular attendance according to the work schedule is necessary and essential as is receiving detailed information verbally, in person and by telephone. Extensive reading and computer use is is expected the majority of the time. Job involves prolonged sitting and much typing.
