Qualifications - ONLY THOSE WHO MEET MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR EMPLOYMENT

*AA or other degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and/or at least two years' banking experience or related finance field, preferably in loan support would be ideal. Work experience in other fields could be considered based on time in position, job duties and performance.;
*An understanding of the fundamentals of loans and documentation review as well as some knowledge of finance and income statements would be valuable.;
*A working knowledge of Bankway, FileX and Image Center would be a plus.;
*Necessary skills include effective communications in person, by phone or email; organizational; the ability to work independently according to Bank policy and procedures; the ability to prioritize workload and to focus on details;
*Essential skills include proficiency in Excel to create and format spreadsheets and with Word and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with lenders and support staff;

Primary Objective - To assist the Loan Review Officer in reviewing the Bank's loan portfolio to determine credit quality, to assist in the early detection of potential problem loans and to review adherence to the Bank's Loan Policy as set forth by the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities
*Assist the Loan Review Officer in evaluating and calculating the allowance for loan and lease losses;
*Analyze customer borrowing to determine available credit relative to the Bank's legal lending limit; 
*Conduct periodic and sytematic reviews of the Bank's loan portfolio to determine credit quality and the adequacy of proper documentation and underwriting within the loan policy guidelines;
*Review loans for proper risk ratings;
*Prepare reports and serve as back-up for monthly and quarterly reporting of the loan portfolio data for management and the Board of Directors;
*Review Loan Status Change forms for charge-offs (checking and loan accounts), OREO, non-accrual, repossessions, upgrades and downgrades for approval and distribution;
*Review daily loan posting for inconsistencies;
Create and format spreadsheets in MS Excel

Secondary job duties include all other special assignments or tasks as assigned. 

Expectations are to perform all job duties and other responsibilities as assigned and per bank policy and procedure and to follow all safety rules and regulations.

Attendance according to the work schedule is necessary and essential as is receiving detailed information verbally, in person and by telephone. Extensive reading and computer use is expected daily. Job involves prolonged sitting and typing much of the time. Some lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, bending/squatting and reaching overhead is required for filing and routine office work.
